The Skoolie

This was Movable Roots' first custom Skoolie conversion project. The Skoolie brought some new challenges to our team with making living space functional in less than 18ft of length from the rear of the bus to the driver's seat with no loft options. The kitchen is small yet extremely functional with an LP Furrion oven/cooktop combo for cooking as well as drop in sink with a cutting board to maximize countertop space and a 12V Furrion 10 cubic foot fridge/freezer. Just off the kitchen is a small 2 seat dining area with storage benches and a pantry cabinet. The 17 square foot bathroom has a custom vanity cabinet with a beautiful vessel sink, Separett composting "weekender" toilet, and stainless steel lined shower. At the rear of the skoolie we have a small custom built in closet as well as bench seating that converts into a queen bed for sleeping and offers additional storage space. We fabricated a 42" deck off the rear of the bus to hold the client's generator as well as their scooter during travel. Our team also added freshwater storage tanks as well as grey water tanks for those days the client is off grid. Check out the gallery below and contact us for your custom skoolie conversion.
