The Ward home is a beautifully customized tiny home on wheels, built to maximize comfort, functionality, and storage within its just over 300 sq. ft. of living space (including the loft). Sitting on a 28’ Movable Roots trailer, this home was inspired by a previous Movable Roots build, the Cavin, and then adjusted to fit the specific needs and lifestyle of the Ward family.

A Spacious & Functional Lofted Bedroom

The main sleeping area in this home is located in the loft, which is accessed by a custom storage staircase.

A Custom L-Shaped Kitchen with Elegant Touches

Designed for both beauty and practicality, the kitchen in the Ward home is a standout feature, boasting:

• 36” upper cabinets, offering plenty of storage while keeping a streamlined look

• Custom barn wood open shelving, highlighted by LED light strips, creating a warm, modern ambiance

• Quartz countertops, extending beyond the cabinetry to serve as a bar seating area, perfect for casual meals or extra prep space

This well-thought-out kitchen design ensures that tiny living doesn’t mean sacrificing functionality or aesthetics.

A Living Area Designed Around Comfort

Rather than a generic seating area, the living room was specifically designed to accommodate the client’s chosen couch from Home Reserve.

• Maximized floor space, ensuring a comfortable and practical living setup

• Placement at the rear of the home, allowing for a more traditional living room layout

• Large windows, bringing in natural light to enhance the open feel of the space

By incorporating the client’s specific furniture choice into the design, this home maintains a personalized touch that makes it feel like a true home.

A Multi-Functional Closet & Work Area

​

On the way to the bathroom, there is a 33 sq. ft. dedicated closet space, designed for flexibility and customization.

​

• The passenger side features a window nook, where the client plans to build a custom desk area for work or personal projects

• Opposite the desk, there is space for customized closet shelving, allowing for efficient and organized storage

​

This multi-use area ensures that the Ward home remains practical for full-time living, balancing both storage and workspace solutions in a compact footprint.

A Functional & Stylish Bathroom

The 30 sq. ft. bathroom was designed with both functionality and elegance, featuring:

• An Incinolet toilet, offering an efficient and eco-friendly waste solution

• A 36” x 36” walk-in shower, enclosed with glass and subway tile, creating a clean, modern look

• Customized cabinetry and shelving, providing ample storage for bathroom essentials

• An LED mirror, specifically requested by the client for both style and practical lighting

This well-appointed bathroom ensures that even in a tiny home, daily routines remain comfortable and convenient.
