Custom Modular Prefab Home Pricing at Movable Roots
Comprehensive, Transparent, and Customizable
Average projects have total development budgets that are consistently around $500 to $600 per square foot of all construction. Excluding raw land costs this is the TOTAL investment for a successfully completed project, from fees and permits, to the house itself, including landscaping at the end, and everything in between.
Because we are designing around smaller foot print homes with maximized utility the cost per square foot is higher for the simple because there is less square feet in total to spread out the costs over. The prefab home of the project (included above) costs between $300 to $400 per square foot of living area, for a house that is largely finished in the Movable Roots factory. The balance of that budget includes all your design and engineering costs, permit costs, getting your site ready, shipping and setting the building, stitching it together, and everything else that goes with making a completed home you can move into. This is a complex equation that can vary from lot to lot, so let's talk about how your site and your vision affect your budget.
